The Hinterkaifeck Farm
In winter 1922, farmer Andreas Gruber of Munich, Germany, noted to a neighbor that something strange had been happening in his house.
Recently, the house key had disappeared. A newspaper that neither he nor his wife purchased appeared on the kitchen table. Food had vanished. And most interestingly, a set of footprints from the forest to the house had been found, but no footprints leading back to the forest.
Several days later, Andreas and his family – wife Cazilia, daughter Viktoria, grandchildren Cazilia and Josef, and housemaid Maria Baumgartner – were butchered with a pickaxe in their home.
Most peculiarly, prior to the bodies being discovered, neighbors noted that the family continued about their routines, but refused to answer the door. Someone continued to feed the animals, burn logs in the fireplace, and eat the food. The killer was never seen, and was never found.
UNPLEASANT FACT: In rare instances, dead women can give birth.
And now, a story.
The only one I have is when I was in 4th grade. When I was little, I would always sleep with my door open. I went though a faze where I would wake up between 3:00 /4:00 AM every night, and every single night I would hear footsteps walking up my stairs, around my living room, through my dining room, across my kitchen and down my hallway. They would always stop right before my doorway, then turn around and go back into the basement. But one night they didn't stop, what I saw was a shadow of a little girl/boy (couldn't tell) walk right in front of my doorway, look at me for a few seconds, then it walked away, back down the stairs.
I slept with the door closed the next night.
