When you wish
upon a star,
nothing happens.
Space is large.

That star was dead
eons ago.
Space is empty.
Space is cold.

Your wish goes up
into the sky,
at which point it is
destroyed by

a falling Chinese
astro station
and scattered across
the crash location.

So rather than wish,
it’s better to do.
If something gets broken,
at least it’s by you.
